Takom 1:35 Flakpanzer Panther 2 in 1 is a plastic kit of the anti-aircraft version of the Panther chassis that offers two different variants of the vehicle in one package.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of an unassembled and unpainted model of an anti-aircraft vehicle on the chassis of the Panther tank in 1:35 scale. The 2 in 1 designation means that the package allows two different variants to be built, one with a quadruple weapon of 2 cm caliber and the other in the form known as Coelian with a twin 3.7 cm mount. One vehicle can be built, and the variant is chosen in the course of the build.
Toward the end of the Second World War the need grew for an anti-aircraft weapon that could keep pace with tank units and had enough protection. Development therefore turned to using the chassis of the Panther tank with a rotating turret for quick-firing anti-aircraft armament. The work never went beyond the stage of projects and a turret mock-up, and no production vehicle came about. The real subject therefore belongs among the so-called paper projects, which gives modelers more freedom in choosing camouflage and markings.
Paint the running gear and the inner surfaces of the turret before you close the assembly up. Assemble the link-and-length tracks on a flat surface and let them cure enough before you fit them, otherwise they will twist. Bend the thin photo-etched parts over a metal edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The foundation is an even coat from an airbrush, and the camouflage patches can also be suggested freehand. Build the weathering up in layers: a dark wash into the recesses, then dust pigments on the running gear and the underside of the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
