This is not an airplane model but an Aires resin accessory set in 1:72 scale. The set contains finely cast Martin-Baker Mk.10A ejection seats, abbreviated M.B. in the name, made for the cockpit of a model of the Panavia Tornado combat aircraft. It replaces the simpler seats from the plastic kit. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The Martin-Baker Mk.10 is a British zero-zero ejection seat used in a number of jet aircraft, including the two-seat Panavia Tornado multirole aircraft. It allows a crew member to leave the aircraft safely even on the ground at zero speed and zero altitude. The Tornado came about as a joint European project and served in both the strike and the fighter role.
Wash the seats to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. They are usually painted with a combination of dark shades on the shell and colored harnesses and handles; a fine wash and a dry brush bring out the structure. Adding photo-etched harnesses, where they are not included, raises the realism.
