A diorama building set of a freight shed (a transshipment building) in 1:35 scale from the maker RT-Diorama. It is not injection-molded plastic - the set is cast of modeling plaster and complemented by laser-cut parts, so it is intended rather for more experienced modelers. The build forms a modular building of approximately 22.5 x 25.5 cm and a height of around 18.5 cm. The set is intended to be glued and painted; check the exact contents against the maker's part number for this item.
A freight shed creates an impressive background for railway and urban dioramas - a transshipment point, a warehouse by the track or a damaged building on a battlefield. The modular conception makes it possible to modify the assembly and to combine it with further parts.
Clean up and cut the plaster parts carefully; the absorbent surface is ideal for acrylic paints and pigments, which run into it beautifully. Glue the parts with PVA or cyanoacrylate glue and fill the gaps. Bring the brickwork to life by layering washes, filters and a dry brush; weathered plaster, moss, dust and traces of rain look realistic.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the main model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
