This is a stand-alone figure cast in resin in 1:35 scale, not a vehicle model. The figure stands in a relaxed pose, so it suits a place beside an open hatch, at the side of an armored car or in a group with further crew members. With its figures, Copper State Models goes for a fine casting with readable folds of clothing and facial expression, which shows mainly once the shades and the shading are applied.
The figure captures a member of the French naval infantry serving with an armored car during the First World War. The French Navy at that time raised its own units that fought on land, and some of them manned precisely these armored cars. The uniform and the equipment match that period, not later conflicts. Copper State Models has long devoted itself exclusively to the equipment and the figures of the Great War, so the figure fits a scene from the years 1914 to 1918 and should not be confused with Second World War equipment.
First wash the resin casting in lukewarm water with a little dish soap, so that the remains of the mold release agent disappear from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter, and do not break them. Do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection. Join the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, as an ordinary glue for plastic does not hold on resin. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting. Skin is best built from a middle flesh color toward the highlights and the shadows, and acrylics supplemented by oil shading suit the uniform.
The figure is supplied as an unpainted resin casting. Paints, glue and a base are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
