The package also contains a metal chain and a nylon cord for a faithful rendering of the lifting gear. It is a striking accessory for dioramas, not a vehicle. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Strabokran was a German portable gantry crane used during the Second World War to service heavy armored equipment, above all to change the engines and turrets of Tiger tanks or Ferdinand tank destroyers. The structure could be dismantled, so it could be transported and assembled in the field at workshop units.
Before gluing, check that the gantry structure is square and stable. Fit the metal chain and the nylon cord only after painting. Lay down a primer and spray the base shade with an airbrush; rubbed edges, rust and dry pigments will bring the steel structure to life. The crane stands out in a diorama paired with a tank.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
