About product

German 2 m rod antenna for the Panzer II, III and IV - 1:35

This fine metal detail accessory is not a kit but a replacement for the coarser plastic antenna on models of the German tanks Panzer II, III and IV in 1:35 scale. A thin, precisely made rod antenna gives a model the fineness that injection-molded plastic cannot reach.

What the part is for

The two-meter rod antenna was a typical recognition feature of early German armor fitted with a radio set. The metal version is firm, straight and at the same time as thin as a hair.

Building and painting tips

Deburr the part, shape it gently if need be and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. It is a good idea to degrease the metal before painting and to overcoat it with primer so that the paint adheres well.

Who the part is for

  • Builders of early Panzer II, III and IV in 1:35
  • Modelers who dislike the thick plastic antenna in the kit
  • Anyone interested in fine finishing detail

The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
