This injection-molded plastic figure set captures the crew of the heavy German Mörser Karl self-propelled mortar. It is a multi-figure set of artillery crewmen handling ammunition and serving the weapon. The set is meant to be glued and painted and is conceived as an accessory for a model of that mortar.
The Mörser Karl was a heavy self-propelled siege mortar of 600 mm caliber (540 mm in the later version), which the German army used during the Second World War against fortified targets. The enormous shells called for a large crew and special handling equipment. The figures capture soldiers at this demanding work.
Cut the figures out, clean them up and glue them with cement for plastic. The working positions of the figures assume the mortar model and its ammunition, so it is a good idea to match them to that model. Paint the uniforms in gray-green tones, shade the faces in layers, deepen the weathering with a wash and unify the scene with a matte clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
