1:35 German Numbers Small

Eduard 1:35 German numbers, small: painting masks

A set of self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in kabuki paper (washi). It contains stencils for spraying small German tactical numbers on a plastic model of military equipment in 1:35 scale. It is an accessory for painting that takes the place of decals and allows realistic sprayed markings.

The real subject

German military equipment of the Second World War period carried tactical numbers on the turrets and sides, by which individual machines were told apart within a unit. Sprayed numbers look more convincing than decals, because they follow the surface and the weathering of the vehicle.

Use and tips

• Apply the masks with the numerals to the place where the tactical number is to appear.
• Press the edges down thoroughly so that paint cannot creep under the stencil.
• Apply the paint in thin coats with an airbrush so that the edges stay crisp.
• Take the mask off before the paint has fully cured.

Who the set is for

• Modelers building German equipment in 1:35 scale.
• Anyone who prefers sprayed numbers to decals.
• Advanced modelers after realistic markings.

This is an accessory to a plastic model. The model itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
