Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic figure kit in 1:35 scale from Master Box. The package contains one figure of a German soldier with a bicycle and photo-etched parts for the fine details (the spokes, the chain or small fittings, for example). It is an addition to a diorama, not a vehicle — the figure and the bicycle are assembled and painted separately.
The figure captures a German infantryman of the first years of the Second World War, in the period from 1939 to 1942, when the bicycle was commonly used to move infantry and messengers. The soldier is rendered in the uniform and equipment of the period; the bicycle is a typical military machine of that time. The composition is soberly civilian and suits a scene on a road, in a village or beside a column.
Clean the flash and sprue stubs off the parts first and smooth the mold seams on the body. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and the photo-etched parts with super glue. An airbrush or a brush complemented by oils and washes to deepen the folds works well on the uniform and the skin; bring the bicycle to life with a dark metal and light rust. Glue the small bicycle parts patiently and test the seating of the figure dry.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
