The set contains wing pylons for the naval versions B, N, J and S of the F-4 Phantom II fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a stand-alone aircraft model but a resin detail accessory with which you add faithful pylons for carrying armament and drop tanks to a model. The resin castings offer finer shapes and detail than ordinary injection-molded plastic allows.
The F-4 Phantom II was a two-seat supersonic multirole aircraft that in the B, N, J and S versions served with the US Navy and the Marine Corps. The wing pylons carried guided missiles, bombs and drop tanks and were among the characteristic elements of the Phantom's external stores. The exact design of the pylons differed between the individual versions and loads.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks with a sharp knife and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Unify the pylons with a primer, spray the shade according to the chosen scheme and bring out the edges with a fine wash. Protect your airways when sanding resin and dry-fit the parts.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and armament are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
