A figure of an American infantryman in 1:35 scale, named James, the fifth item in the range. An accessory for vehicle models and for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
The word grunt is a colloquial term for an American infantryman, and in modeling ranges it is used as a collective name for figures of soldiers. This figure is in 1:35 scale and carries the name James; the number in brackets distinguishes the individual figures within the range, so a group can be put together from them in which no pose repeats.
One well seated figure changes the whole feel of a scene. It gives the tableau scale, reveals where the viewer is meant to look and takes some of the stiffness out of a model of an armored vehicle. It will tell in a larger diorama as well as in a vignette with a single vehicle, where it carries the whole story on its own.
First try the figure dry in the place you want to seat it and check how the feet sit down on the base; small adjustment of the soles is needed more often than with a vehicle model. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Before painting, wash and degrease the figure. Paint it separately and seat it into the scene once finished; apply the paint in thin layers so that the folds of the clothing and the relief of the equipment stay apparent. Leave the face until the end, when your hand is already warmed up. The suitable glue is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The model of the vehicle, a base, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
