Hand-to-hand combat, Tarawa November 1943 1:35 is a plastic figure set from Master Box capturing close combat between American and Japanese soldiers on the Tarawa atoll.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic set in 1:35 scale holds five figures caught in direct close combat: three American Marines and two Japanese soldiers. The set belongs to the series devoted to the fighting for the Tarawa atoll and can be combined with other releases, so that you can build a dramatic combat scene of November 1943.
The battle for Tarawa in November 1943 brought exceptionally hard fighting in a small space, where the two sides often met face to face. Close combat for fortified positions was among the most difficult forms of action and became a symbol of how bitter the Pacific campaign was.
The interlocking poses call for careful dry-fitting: try the parts together without glue first. Glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic and add the small gear only after the base painting. Keep the uniforms of the two sides in different shades (American green-khaki, Japanese toward yellow-green) and finish the scene with sand and mud effects.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
