This photo-etched set in thin brass is an accessory for a plastic kit of the German heavy off-road (staff) Horch car in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but a set of fine metal parts that replace the coarser plastic elements and add fidelity.
On open off-road cars, photo-etched sets usually refine the fenders, steps, radiator grilles, engine fittings, brackets, tarpaulin loops, dashboard elements and small accessories. It is exactly the thin and sharp parts that decide the impression at close range.
Cut the parts off the fret on a firm surface and make the bends along the etched grooves. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy. Degrease the metal and apply a primer before painting. On an open car it pays to give attention to the small fittings of the interior as well.
