A ready ground for a diorama in 1:35 scale with a house and a drain. Just paint it, place a model or figures on it and the display is finished.
Responsibility details are not available.
The ground joins two items that commonly stand next to each other in real buildings: a house and a drain by its wall. It is exactly such small things that make a display credible, because they give away that somebody looked after the place before the hardware arrived. The 1:35 scale matches ordinary models of military vehicles and figures, so the item fits in with what you already have under construction.
Because this is a ground with a display, the most laborious part of building a diorama falls away, that is making the terrain and the way it runs on to the edges. Place the model so that the drain stays visible, and set the figures into action that belongs to the place: a sentry by the wall, a rest in the shade, a look around. A smaller ground meanwhile enforces discipline in the composition, which tends to benefit the finished display.
Before painting, clear the dust off the surface and try the model on it dry, so that you know which part of the ground it will cover. Paint from the bottom up: first a continuous base, then the molded relief of the masonry with a dry brush and finally a dark glaze into the joints and into the hollow of the drain. The area around the drain takes a darker and wetter tone than the rest of the surface. Deal with any gluing according to the material of the part and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Paints, glue, figures and models of hardware are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
