Industrial support beams in 1:35 scale are a diorama accessory for factory halls and demolition sites. They serve as a load-bearing structure and as debris in a scene.

This item is one of the scenic accessories, not one of the kits of vehicles. Beams are the skeleton of every industrial structure. They carry the roofs of halls, crane runways, canopies over ramps and mezzanines in warehouses, and as soon as a building takes a hit they stay hanging or sticking out of the debris as the first thing a viewer notices.
A beam has two lives in a scene, once as a working structure and once as debris. Both suit a different type of diorama.
With an undamaged structure what counts is regularity and being upright. The frame of a hall has to have equal spacing and the beams really have to carry something, or the scene looks like decoration. On a demolition site the opposite holds: the bend in a beam forms at the point of load, not randomly in the middle, and a fallen beam rests against whatever caught it. It is rewarding to leave one end propped up high, because an oblique line immediately sets an otherwise static heap of rubble in motion. A passage also forms under such a beam, through which a figure or a view into the depth of the scene can be led.
