This resin set from the Polish maker PANZER ART brings, in 1:35 scale, the armored box for the infrared (night vision) device used on the German Panther medium tank. It is not a tank kit but a detail conversion set that adds this specific late-war item of equipment to the model.
In the closing stage of the Second World War, infrared equipment for night fighting was tried out on Panthers. The device was carried in an armored box fixed to the tank. PANZER ART captures this unusual detail faithfully, including the shape of the cover and the mounts, so the model gains an interesting and technically accurate element for a late-war Panther version.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Tie the box in with the rest of the tank through the camouflage scheme, bring out the edges with a dry brush and a wash; fine-tune the textures with dust pigments.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
