This photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale raises the level of detail of a model of the German Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer. It adds fine parts that a plastic kit cannot capture faithfully, for instance grilles, brackets, tool holders and other small hull equipment. It is not a standalone model but an upgrade accessory.
The Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer was a light German tank destroyer of the end of the Second World War, built on the proven chassis derived from the Panzer 38(t) tank. It was distinguished by its low silhouette and well-sloped armor, and it was used in the defensive fighting of the closing stages of the war.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends along the grooves with a bending tool. Use cyanoacrylate glue on metal. Add the details that would later be hard to reach before you close up the hull. Once painted, bring out the details with a wash and pigments for faithful weathering.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The base model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
