The metal barrel has a perfectly straight axis with no parting seam and a crisply made perforated muzzle brake, which a plastic part reaches only with difficulty.
The Type 16 Mobile Combat Vehicle is a modern Japanese 8x8 wheeled combat system with a 105 mm gun, brought into service with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. It serves for rapid deployment and direct fire support.
The metal barrel is used together with the plastic parts of the ejector and the canvas cover from the base kit. Degrease the surface before gluing; metal is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with two-part adhesive. For good paint adhesion, lay down a primer suited to metal.
