A resin set of replacement exhaust manifolds in 1:48 scale for models of the German Heinkel He 111 medium bomber in the H-10 and H-16 versions. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic exhausts out of the box with more faithful parts with hollowed-out exhaust stubs.
Cast exhausts have hollow outlets and finer casting than injection-molded plastic parts, so once painted and picked out with a wash they read more realistically. The He 111 was powered by liquid-cooled Jumo engines, whose characteristic exhaust manifolds this set reproduces faithfully.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, separate them carefully from the casting blocks or print supports and clean them up. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin and apply a primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
