A complete line of tropical vegetation for 1:35 scale in one package. It brings together five partial sets marked with the letters A to E.
Responsibility details are not available.
Tropical growth looks believable only when leaves of different shapes and different sizes meet in it. A single species repeated twenty times side by side looks like wallpaper, whereas a few broad leaves interleaved with narrow shoots and low undergrowth create a depth in which the view gets lost. This combined package is built for exactly that: it brings together the whole line of five partial sets, so you have variety on the bench from the start and do not have to add it piece by piece.
Start from the lowest layer and work upward. First place the small undergrowth around the foot of the trees and along a path, then the middle story, and finally the large leaves that will roof the whole scene. Do not plant the plants at regular intervals; in nature they grow in clumps and bare ground stays between the clumps. Leave places where the base shows through, otherwise the scene thickens into an impenetrable green mass.
The same applies to color as to spacing. Green in the tropics is not uniform: young leaves are light to yellow, old ones darken toward blue green and the lower story tends to be covered with deposits after rain. A few leaves bent down or torn bring a scene closer to reality at once, because untouched growth looks like a nursery rather than a rainforest.
