The Eduard photo-etched protective screens for the KV-1 and KV-2 tanks in 1:35 scale are a photo-etched detail accessory, not a model of the tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched (brass) detail set in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model but an accessory: a set of fine protective screens for the Soviet KV-1 and KV-2 heavy tanks in the early version. Screens over the engine and the ventilation openings cannot be made faithfully in injection-molded plastic, and a photo-etched version looks far finer and more realistic.
The KV-1 and KV-2 were Soviet heavy tanks of the beginning of the Second World War. The KV-1 carried a 76 mm gun and thick armor, while the KV-2 was marked by a massive turret with a 152 mm howitzer. Both machines were among the heaviest tanks in service at the time, and their engine screens are among their characteristic features.
Separate the photo-etched screens carefully from the fret, shape them gently as needed and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Give the brass a primer before varnishing. Fine screens look best when the shadow of the space inside is suggested beneath them; weather with washes and pigments only once the construction is finished.
This is not a model but a detail accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
