The decal set 1:35 Lebanese tanks and armored vehicles, part four from Star Decals brings generic unit insignia for tanks and armored vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fourth part of the Lebanese line in 1:35 scale does not focus on one particular machine but on generic unit insignia for tanks and armored vehicles. Markings like these are usable across types of hardware, so a modeler can choose which of his part-built models to put them on.
Lebanon is one of the battlefields where hardware of Western and Eastern origin served side by side and where a vehicle's unit can be told almost solely by the insignia on the hull or the turret. The camouflage tended to be improvised, the armament came from various sources and the machines often changed owners, so the markings are the only clue that gives a model a clear place. That is exactly why sets aimed at the unit insignia alone come about, rather than at one particular vehicle.
With generic insignia the most important thing is precise trimming. Cut the carrier film away as close to the design as possible, so that no glossy frame forms around the insignia, which on matte improvised camouflage catches the eye at once. Seat the design on gloss varnish, flatten it down once it has dried and tone any remaining edge down with a fine filter in the color of the base. Check the suitable products and the removal procedure in the manufacturer's instructions.
The package holds decals. The model, the paints and the varnishes are not included, unless stated otherwise.
