This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Canadian main battle tank Leopard C2 with MEXAS add-on armor. The set from Hobby Boss is in 1:35 scale and also contains a photo-etched sheet. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Leopard C2 is the Canadian version of the proven Leopard 1 tank of German design, armed with a 105 mm gun. The MEXAS kit added modular composite armor for better protection, and Canada deployed these vehicles in demanding conditions on overseas missions among other places. The add-on armor markedly changes the silhouette of the turret and the hull.
Finish the running gear and the hull first and only then fit the panels of the add-on armor. Dark washes and dust and mud pigments suit the weathering. A primer and an airbrush are recommended; glue the photo-etched parts with super glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
