An injection-molded plastic kit of the M109 self-propelled howitzer in 1:35 scale from Italeri. The box includes connectable rubber tracks and decals for several versions of the vehicle, so it lets you build the A2 and A3 variants as well as the German G version.
The M109 is an American 155 mm self-propelled howitzer whose first examples entered service at the start of the 1960s as a far more mobile successor to the older M44. Over its long career it went through a series of upgrades aimed at gun laying, ammunition and target acquisition systems. The A2 version brought improvements to the armament and the sights. The M109 was built in large numbers and served with the US Army and with key NATO allies.
Finish the running gear and any interior before closing up the hull. Glue the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic, apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. Washes and pigments for mud and dust effects suit a military finish well, and stowed accessories can be brought out with dry-brushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
