An accessory set from RYE FIELD MODEL for models of the American M1128 Mobile Gun System (Stryker) wheeled armored vehicle in 1:35 scale. It holds a pair of sagged (weighted) wheels fitted with anti-skid chains. The sagged wheels realistically imitate the deformation of a tire under the weight of the vehicle on the ground, and the chains give a scene a winter or off-road character. The parts are made by 3D printing in resin with fine tread detail.
The set replaces the matching wheels of the basic plastic model. First wash the parts free of print resin residue, cut them away from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Both the tires and the chains come into their own after painting and washing; add dust and mud with pigments for a convincing off-road look.
For modelers who want to give their Stryker the realism of weighted wheels and a winter or off-road atmosphere.
