An injection-molded plastic kit of the American medium tank M4A3(76)W Sherman in 1:35 scale from Zvezda. The model corresponds to the version with the more powerful 76mm gun and wet ammunition stowage (the letter W). The package consists of plastic parts and a decal sheet; the exact contents are given in the manufacturer's catalog.
The M4 Sherman was the most widespread American medium tank of the Second World War. The M4A3(76)W version received a new turret with a longer 76mm gun, which improved penetration against armored targets, and wet stowage, which reduced the risk of fire after a hit. Shermans of this series served at the end of the war and afterwards with a number of armies.
Assemble the running gear and the lower hull first, then the turret. Weather the tracks and the road wheels with dust and mud pigments. For the American olive drab use an airbrush over a base coat; washes will bring out the rivets, the hatches and the tools on the hull. Fine-tune the fittings and the markings with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
