An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M4A3 Sherman medium tank with the 75 mm gun in 1:35 scale from the brand Tamiya. The model captures the late production form with a welded hull with a sloped glacis and a smoothly cast turret. According to the manufacturer it offers two types of commander's cupola, hatches that open, two types of road wheel and of drive sprocket, flexible vinyl tracks, crew figures, stowage accessories and decals for several machines.
The M4 Sherman was the most numerous American medium tank of the Second World War. The M4A3 version with the Ford gasoline engine was the standard form used by the US Army. Late production machines received a sloped hull front from 1944, thicker frontal armor, a commander's cupola and a loader's hatch, and so-called wet ammunition stowage, which reduced the risk of fire after a hit. The main armament was the general-purpose 75 mm gun, suitable against infantry and lighter armored vehicles alike.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks and only then close the hull up; prepare the crew and the stowage accessories separately for fitting at the end. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and fill and sand the joints if needed. Apply a primer and spray olive green with an airbrush; weathering comes from a wash into the recesses, edge highlighting, paint chipping and dust and mud pigments on the running gear.
