Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M7 Priest self-propelled howitzer in 1:35 scale from Italeri. The kit has a multi-part hull with an open fighting compartment, a 105 mm howitzer and the characteristic raised ring mount for the machine gun. The package usually contains glueable rubber tracks, one figure and decals for several standards (American, British and French). The exact contents of the package are not stated here.
The M7 Priest was an American self-propelled howitzer built on the chassis of a medium tank, derived from the M3 Lee, and armed with the 105 mm M2A1 howitzer. It first went into action in 1942 and proved itself as mobile artillery support for armored units. The nickname Priest came from British soldiers, because the raised ring mount for the machine gun resembled a pulpit. It served on many fronts of the Second World War and after it.
Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement; join the glueable rubber tracks with superglue and paint them only once they are fitted. The open fighting compartment exposes the howitzer and the ammunition stowage — paint it before final assembly. Finish the running gear and the lower hull in good time. After the base coat, applied over a primer with an airbrush, bring the model to life with a wash in the recesses, with wear on the edges and with dust or mud pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
