A resin gun mantlet fitted with a canvas cover in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It is not a vehicle model, but a detail accessory: the gun shield in the front of the fighting compartment, over which a protective canvas is drawn. The part is made for the German StuG III assault gun in the Ausf. B version.
A covered gun mantlet gives a model an authentic field look, and the resin casting captures the folds of the cloth and the shape of the shield more faithfully than a plastic kit. The part replaces the original piece in the front of the superstructure.
Wash the part free of mold release residue, cut off the casting block and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting. The fabric cover comes out once the folds are picked out with a wash and dry-brushing.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. A matching base kit is needed to use it.
