An injection-molded plastic kit of the German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun Möbelwagen (3.7 cm Flak auf Fahrgestell Pz.Kpfw.IV) in 1:35 scale from Border Model. It is a recent, detailed tooling. According to the manufacturer the box contains photo-etched and metal parts, a figure and well-worked tracks; the folding sides of the protective shield can be built in the folded as well as the raised position.
The Möbelwagen (literally furniture van) appeared at the end of the Second World War as a self-propelled anti-aircraft platform on the chassis of the proven Pz.Kpfw.IV medium tank. It carried a 3.7 cm Flak anti-aircraft gun protected by folding steel sides — and it was precisely those that gave the vehicle its nickname after a furniture removal box. In the firing position the sides were folded down so that the crew had a clear traverse, and the vehicle thus protected armored units against the Allied air forces, which controlled the sky at the end of the war.
First finish the running gear and the interior of the hull tub, and only then close the hull; leave the area with the gun accessible as long as possible. Fit the workable tracks carefully and bend the photo-etched parts over a metal ruler. The model makes it possible to build the sides folded or raised — think it over according to the scene you have in mind. For late-war German vehicles a three-color camouflage (Dunkelgelb, green, brown) works well; create the weathering with washes, a dry brush on the edges and pigments for mud and dust.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
