E.T. Model 1:35 photo-etched detail set for the American M1000 heavy equipment semi-trailer for carrying armored vehicles. A metal accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set made of thin sheet metal, intended for a model of the American M1000 heavy semi-trailer in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit and not a finished model. A trailer is exactly the kind of subject where photo-etched metal pays off most: the load deck, the loading ramps, the non-skid gratings, the grab handles, the guards and the chain brackets are in reality made of thin sheet and sections that injection-molded plastic can only suggest coarsely.
The M1000 is an American heavy semi-trailer which, together with a powerful tractor, forms a combination for recovering and carrying heavy tracked vehicles including the main battle tank. It has many axles with a large number of wheels so that it spreads the enormous load, and hydraulically controlled suspension that allows the load deck to be lowered for loading. The combination is used for moves over long distances that would wear tracked vehicles out needlessly, and also for recovering and removing damaged vehicles.
Leave the non-skid gratings and the ramps in metal without filling them in needlessly; it is exactly their openness that makes the final impression. Cut the parts off with a scalpel and make longer folds in a photo-etch bender in stages, so that the edge does not ripple. Glue them with cyanoacrylate applied on the point of a pin. Degrease the metal before painting and spray it with a metal primer. The load deck benefits from traces of service: scuffs from tracks, oily stains, dust and mud in the corners and on the wheels.
The package holds photo-etched parts only. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
