Pz.Kpfw.V Panther (Ausf.D) Zimmerit 1:35 is an accessory set for faithfully rendering the Zimmerit coating on a model of the Panther tank in its early form. It is not a model but a detail accessory.

This set serves to imitate Zimmerit, that is the characteristic textured coating with which German combat vehicles were covered during the Second World War as protection against magnetic mines. The set is intended for models of the Panther medium tank in the Ausf.D form in 1:35 scale. It is not a standalone tank kit but an accessory with which you enrich the surface of a model with a realistic Zimmerit texture.
The Panther Ausf.D was the first production version of the German Panther medium tank. It combined thick frontal armor, a long 75 mm gun and good mobility. Zimmerit was applied to the vehicles in production and, once it had dried, the characteristic pattern was worked into it, reducing the area available for magnetic charges to attach to.
Work patiently and seat the parts on a clean, degreased surface. Choose a suitable glue according to the material of the set and work in smaller areas, so that the pattern lines up. Zimmerit comes into its own after painting and after being accentuated with a wash that runs into the texture.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and the base tank model is not included in the package.
