About product

Nakajima B5N2 Kate wheel bay plugs 1:35 (Omask)

A modeling aid for painting, not a kit. The set of foam plugs is shaped to the wheel bays of a model of the Japanese Nakajima B5N2 Kate torpedo and level bomber in 1:35 scale. Before painting, the plugs fill the open bays and take the place of laborious masking with tape. The plugs are shaped for the B5N2 Kate kit from Border Model.

Use

  • Press the foam plugs into the wheel bays before spraying paint or clear coat.
  • Spray the outer surfaces of the model.
  • Once the paint has dried, take the plugs out and the inside of the bay stays clean.
  • Handled gently, the foam can be used again.

Who the aid is for

  • Builders of aircraft models who care about a clean separation of colors.
  • Modelers working with an airbrush.
  • Anyone who wants to speed up the preparation for painting.

This is a masking accessory. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.

FAQ

No, it is a masking aid: foam plugs that protect the wheel bays while paint is sprayed.

They fill the bays before painting and are taken out once the paint has dried. They take the place of masking tape.

The plugs are shaped for this type of aircraft in 1:35 scale; we recommend always trying the fit dry before the final painting.
