The set belongs to the line of infantry weapons for 1:35 scale and is intended to complete finished vehicles, figures and dioramas. It is an accessory, not a model in its own right: you will not build a vehicle or a figure from it, but you will get the weapons and personal equipment that give a scene credibility. The letter B in the name distinguishes this set from version A, which Magic Factory offers alongside it; each brings a different selection of items.
Individual weapons and personal gear are the detail on which the believability of every figure scene rests. The weapons included with basic kits tend to be simplified and to have soft shapes, so a separate set is the usual way of raising the level of detail. It proves useful on vehicle superstructures, in interiors, on wrecks on stands and laid out loosely across the surface of a diorama.
Separate the small parts with a sharp modeling knife or fine nippers, and never tear them off. Before painting, degrease the whole set and apply a thin primer; the paint will then hold even on edges and points. The weapons stand out when, after the base color, you emphasize them with a dark wash into the recesses and pass over the edges lightly with a dry brush. Set the slings, stocks and grips apart with their own shade, or the gear will merge into a single mass and the work on the detail will be lost.
