This figure scene from the Reskit brand, named One busy day carrier crew on deck, captures the ordinary bustle of work on a flight deck. The detail of six pieces is given by the name of the item. It is the first of the scenes offered, which can be placed side by side into a larger whole.
Work on deck has its own order. Each group of personnel wears a differently colored vest, so that in the noise and the blast it can be told who is directing taxiing, who is working the catapult, who is refueling and who is looking after the machine itself. The color code makes such a scene a rewarding painting exercise, because each figure gets a markedly different shade.
The 1:35 size is no longer limited today to ground equipment. Helicopters and ship accessories come out in it, and figures of this size can be worked into scenes where smaller figures would be lost. Six figures are moreover enough to keep a board from looking empty, while they can still be painted one at a time and in peace.
Place the figures so that their gaze is directed at one event. Paint the vests saturated and rather tone the other shades down, otherwise the scene will fall apart in color and the viewer will not know where to look.
