Wheels for the driven axle in deformed rendition, designated as type 2 and intended for the late production state. They close the range in which a form can be chosen separately for the front and the rear axle and separately for early and late vehicles.
A vehicle built over many years and in enormous numbers never looked uniform. Tire suppliers changed, rims were modified and in the field parts were swapped for anything that held air. A modeler who wants to build a particular machine from a particular photograph will therefore appreciate being able to choose rather than settling for what was in the box.
For modelers who build from a particular subject and want wheels identical with what is in the photograph, not approximately similar.
The wheels are among the last things fitted to a model, because they get in the way of work on the chassis otherwise. It pays to have them painted and weathered in advance and to fit them only once the rest of the vehicle is finished. It saves repairs to scratched tires.
