Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale from Tamiya, intended to improve a model of the Tiger II heavy tank, known as the King Tiger. It is not a tank model but a detail set that replaces the plastic grilles of the engine compartment with fine photo-etched metal parts. Thin metal captures the open intake and exhaust grilles more convincingly and gives the rear of the tank a realistic look.
The photo-etched parts reproduce the air intake and exhaust grilles on the engine deck, the protective anti-shrapnel screens and the sights for the anti-aircraft machine gun. The set is intended as an accessory for the Tiger II (King Tiger) kit from Tamiya and replaces the corresponding plastic parts with a more convincing metal version.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them over the edge of a ruler or in a photo-etch bender. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer so that the paint holds.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a complete model. The tank kit, glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
