A standalone resin figure in 1:35 scale for scenes from a world that has stopped working. The sequence number No. 2 places it after the first piece of the same series; both figures were created as a pair and a shared scene makes a more interesting whole of them than each on its own. It is supplied as a bare casting.
A single figure holds the attention only when it has space around it and a clear line of sight. Place it off the geometric center of the base, give it something to relate to, a doorway, a heap of rubble, an abandoned machine, and the scene gains direction at once. That is exactly where a post-apocalyptic subject is rewarding: it does not need a complete vehicle to make sense.
Rid the casting of grease in a lukewarm bath, and once it is dry remove the casting remains and go over the parting seams with fine abrasive paper with your airways protected. Apply the base coat in a thin layer so that the fine detail of the face is not lost. Build the skin tones from a middle layer toward the highlights and shadows, and the fabric the other way, from a dark underpainting, so that the folds stay legible. Leave the small accessories and the hair until the skin is finished, so that no light layer gets into them. A final matte varnish unifies the surface and pigments then hold better.
Paints, glue and terrain are not included in the box; the casting has no surface finish.
