Polished granite tiles were laid in entrance halls, on staircases, in public offices and in grand corridors, and they last there for decades. Yellow granite has an irregular grainy drawing that differs on every slab, so a floor never comes across as a repeated pattern. That is just what tends to be hardest to imitate by hand on a model.
This is a printed floor area with a subject of yellow granite in 1:35 scale. The number in the name tells the individual versions apart inside the range, so a different drawing can be chosen for every room, or several areas in one scene can be matched instead. The ground has to be flat and clean, because every unevenness will show on the finished floor. Put the area against it dry, lay out the direction the tiles are to run in relation to the walls, and only then glue it. Apply the glue evenly and in a thin layer; the type suitable for the material supplied and the way of adjusting it to size are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Hide the edges at the walls under a strip or under a layer of dust and rubble, and the transition will not be conspicuous. Do the weathering sparingly; polished stone gets dirty mainly at entrances and in the places that are walked through.
