1:35 Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. A/B/C is a Hauler photo-etched accessory set for a kit of the German light tank, not a model of the vehicle. It adds fine metal parts in the places where injection-molded plastic is too thick for the scale.

A photo-etched accessory set from the Czech maker Hauler meant for a kit of the German light tank of the early production versions. The package holds no model - these are metal parts for a kit you already have, cut for one particular kit, from Tamiya. On a light tank the surface of the hull looks different than on heavy equipment: the elements are smaller, closer together and imperfections are harder to hide. It is exactly there that thin metal pays off most.
The Panzer II was a German light tank of prewar production, armed with a 20 mm automatic cannon and a coaxial machine gun. The Ausf. A, B and C versions formed the main early batch and differed mainly in details of the running gear, the vision ports and the frontal armor. It was originally a stopgap and training type, but in the first years of the war it became one of the most numerous vehicles in the tank units. Because of its weak armament and armor it soon withdrew from front-line service, and its chassis served for further designs.
Sets for light vehicles hold very small parts, and the chief enemy here is the floor. Work over a shallow light-colored tray or bound your surface, so that a part that springs away does not end up in the carpet. Tweezers with smooth tips pay off, and for fine positioning a toothpick moistened with a little saliva or the tip of a piece of wire with a drop of glue, which holds a part more exactly than metal tweezers. Cut the parts off the fret only at the moment you will use them at once, and sort the individual groups out beforehand onto labeled paper. Degrease the area before gluing and always try a part dry. When painting, do not forget that fine metal detail is easily drowned in a heavy coat of paint - spray thinly, even at the price of more passes. A lighter shade of base paint with a dark wash afterwards pulls the detail out better than a dark base.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
