Canadian and British military trucks of the Second World War stood on chassis with all-wheel drive and ran on tall balloon tires of the 10.5x20 size. The off-road pattern with coarse transverse blocks, carried under the Cross Country designation on Dunlop tires, was to push a vehicle through mud and soft ground. And it is precisely the tires that tend to be the weakest point on kits: the pattern is shallow and the sidewall lettering is missing.
Replacement wheels in 1:35 scale for the Chevrolet 4x4 vehicle, with a worked-out tread pattern and with a sidewall shape that kit parts usually only hint at. The wheels are fitted in place of the original parts, ideally only after the chassis has been painted, when they are easier to handle.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder away with fine sandpaper so that the profile of the tread stays untouched. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; ordinary polystyrene cement is not suited to materials other than polystyrene, and super glue will serve more reliably - the specific procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions. Do not paint the tire pure black, as a dark gray brown with dust in the pattern looks more believable. Fit the wheels so that they stand on the base with the whole contact patch and the vehicle does not stand on tiptoe.
The kit of the vehicle, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
