The plastic kit 1:35 Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar 1 2in1 captures the tracked tank destroyer of the Bundeswehr armed with anti-tank guided missiles.
Responsibility details are not available.
The model captures a combat vehicle of the West German army which instead of a classic gun carried a rocket anti-tank system. The abbreviation 2in1 in the name says that two different executions of the machine will come out of the contents; which ones exactly, the name does not specify, so confirm your choice according to the enclosed instructions still before the work begins.
The Jaguar 1 came about by rebuilding an older rocket tank destroyer into a more modern weapon system. The low armored hull on a tracked chassis was built so that the vehicle could fire from cover and change its firing position immediately afterward. The machines served from the end of the 1970s and were gradually replaced by armored vehicles with anti-tank armament of a new generation. The low silhouette and the angular shape of the hull make the Jaguar a rewarding subject outside dioramas as well.
With tracked hardware, finish the running gear and everything that is hard to reach once the hull is closed still before the large surfaces are glued together. Begin the paintwork with a primer, so that it holds on smooth plastic, and only then apply the camouflage. Lead the dust and mud tones from the bottom upward and let them lighten the places that water really runs down; up on top leave them only as a hint.
The vehicle is sold in parts, without paint; the tools and the chemicals for finishing you choose according to your own practice.
