Road Barriers are road barriers in 1:35 scale for dioramas with closures, checkpoints and damaged roads. An accessory for creating a scene, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of a vehicle but a diorama accessory in 1:35 scale: road barriers of the kind set up across a roadway at a closure, at a checkpoint or around a collapsed section of road. Two versions are given in the name, but their exact meaning is not stated here, and nothing further is inferred from them.
A barrier is one of the few elements that can explain the action all by itself. Set across a road it says at once that there is no way past, and that gives the view a reason why a vehicle is standing still, why the figures have gathered and why the line has turned aside. It comes into its own in city and rural scenes, at checkpoints and crossings, around building sites, at damaged bridges and anywhere you need to direct the viewer's eye and at the same time fill an empty spot on the roadway.
Avoid a symmetrical arrangement. Barriers tend to be out of line, one crooked, another pushed aside, because they are constantly being moved. It is exactly this irregularity that makes a scene alive. It also works well to combine the barriers with other small equipment: barrels, crates or sacks, so that the closure looks as though it has been added to over time. If you are unifying the surface with the rest of the scene in color, allow for the fact that the lower part of a barrier tends to be more scuffed and dusty than the upper.
