Wheels for the Einheitsdiesel with an off-road tread, 1:35

A resin accessory set from the Polish maker PANZER ART. It replaces the wheels on a model of the German standardized truck that was called the Einheitsdiesel. The casting carries an off-road tire tread, and the addition in parentheses after the name specifies the tire whose tread it is. This is not a vehicle kit: you need a base model to fit the wheels to.

Use

• a replacement for the original plastic wheels on a model of the standardized truck
• removal of the mold seam that plastic tires tend to have across the center of the tread
• showing the off-road tread that was used on this vehicle
• a base for muddy or dusty running gear in a diorama

How to work with the set

Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife and true the surface; protect your airways when sanding resin. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing, fit the wheels dry and check that the vehicle stands level on all its wheels. The off-road tread is coarse and stands out when you draw a dark glaze into the recesses and bring the edges out with a dry brush.

For modelers who build German trucks of the Second World War and for diorama makers, where the running gear is in the foreground. The work assumes cyanoacrylate glue and basic experience with resin.

The set is an accessory, not a vehicle kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
