A demolished wall in 1:35 scale is one of the building items a diorama is put together from. The piece carries a broken-up masonry surface with the kind of damage left behind by combat or long decay. In a display it works as a natural backdrop: it gives the scene depth, separates the foreground from the background and gives hardware and figures a sense of scale.
The wall can stand as a focal point of its own on a smaller base, or be worked into a larger display as the edge of a farmstead or the remains of a facade. Because it is a loose item, you decide the placement and the angle yourself according to where the scene is to be seen from and where the focal point should be.
Before gluing, lay the item on the ground dry and try the composition with the model and the figures, and only then fix it. Choose the glue according to the material of the part and according to the manufacturer's instructions. Before painting, clear the dust off the surface, apply a continuous base and bring out the molded relief of the masonry with a dry brush. A thin dark glaze into the joints and the recesses helps and gives the masonry depth. Cover the transition to the terrain with modeling paste or scatter.
Paints, glue, figures, models of hardware and material for terrain are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
