1:35 Russian metal 7.62 ammunition belts from Quinta Studio are 3D-printed colored elements for detailing machine gun armament, usable on models from various manufacturers.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the flat or coarsely cast ammunition belts from ordinary kits. The elements are 3D printed on decal paper, come already colored and have a three-dimensional relief, so on a finished model they look like a real metal belt with individual links. They are meant for models from various manufacturers, so this is not a set tied to one particular kit.
A 7.62 caliber metal ammunition belt belongs to machine guns mounted on vehicles and to infantry weapons alike. The belt is usually the weak point on a model, because injection-molded plastic cannot cope with its articulation and etch lacks volume. The elements from this set can be used on weapons on vehicles, on armament stowed in transport boxes and in diorama scenes where the belt lies loose.
These are wet decals: the sheet is dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and the element is slid off the backing paper. A softener or a setting solution does not belong with them, as the chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the element. The elements are transferred onto a cleaned surface sealed with gloss varnish, whose shape they follow. Unify the area underneath with a darker shade beforehand so that bare plastic does not show through, and settle them with a soft brush. Once dry, the result can be blended into the surroundings with a light wash and dry brushing.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
