A brass photo-etched basic detail set in 1:35 scale from Voyager Model. The set is meant for the Soviet T-10M heavy tank of the Cold War and serves to refine and raise the detail of a plastic kit. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory, a detail set that replaces or adds to selected plastic parts with fine photo-etched items. It holds fenders, grilles, tie-down loops, lifting eyes and other fine sheet parts.
The T-10M was the last Soviet heavy tank in series production. It followed on from the line of IS heavy tanks and carried a powerful 122mm gun with stabilization and a bore evacuator. It served with Soviet units for much of the Cold War as a heavy striking force.
Carefully separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface and clean up the edges. Use a photo-etch bending tool or a metal ruler for the bends, so as to get sharp, straight edges. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, remove the excess and degrease the joints before spraying. It is best to spray the brass with a primer for better adhesion of the coats that follow.
The photo-etched accessory calls for a matching plastic kit in 1:35 scale, which is not included in the package. Glue, paints and the model itself are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
