A set of late pattern tracks in 1:35 scale for the Soviet and Bulgarian tracked vehicles listed in the designation, from the 9K35 Strela-10 through the MT-LB and the BMP-23 to the 2S1 Gvozdika.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set of late pattern tracks in 1:35 scale. The designation lists the vehicles the set is intended for: the 9K35 Strela-10 anti-aircraft system, known in the NATO code as SA-13 Gopher, the MT-LB armored prime mover, the BMP-23 infantry fighting vehicle, the Hosta self-propelled mortar and the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer. These are a family of machines with related running gear, so one set covers several kits at once.
On these vehicles the track is exposed along its whole length and is usually the most visible thing on a finished model. Fit it only once the road wheels are finished, when the drive sprocket and the idler wheel are held firmly in line. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest away so that the mating faces seat. The material of the parts and the right glue are stated by the manufacturer in the instructions. Wash and degrease the parts before painting.
Start with a dark base, then lighten the upper surfaces and finally add dust or mud according to the setting you place the model in. Only the contact faces and the sides of the guide horns stay glossy; the rest of the track is matte. Lay the weathering on in thin coats so that the relief of the links stays visible.
The set suits modelers who are building vehicles on the MT-LB chassis and want tracks matching the late pattern. Paints, glue and other building materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
