Eduard 1:35 Schürzen StuG.III Ausf.G is a photo-etched set of side armor skirts (Schürzen) for a model of the German StuG III Ausf.G assault gun in 1:35 scale.

The set contains photo-etched brass side armor skirts (Schürzen) together with their hangers for detailing a plastic model of the German StuG III assault gun in the Ausf.G version in 1:35 scale. The designation new tool marks a newer, reworked version of the etching die. The thin etched sheets look more faithful than plastic and are easy to bend or damage for a realistic appearance.
The Sturmgeschütz III Ausf.G was the most widely produced version of the German assault gun built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. The Schürzen side skirts protected the running gear and the sides of the hull against anti-tank rifles and shaped-charge ammunition. The StuG III was used in large numbers in the second half of the Second World War.
After separating the skirts, shape them carefully, and if you like render bends or missing sections for a battle-worn look, then glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. After degreasing and priming, paint with an airbrush; a wash and pigments will emphasize the structure of the hangers and of the lower hull.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
