The tread pattern designated as the second type is offered by this wheel set with a spare and a weighted patch for the Sd.Kfz. 234 in 1:35 scale. An alternative to the rendition with the first tread from the same brand.

This variant of the set by Pimp My Miniatures differs from its sister item in the tread pattern, which is listed as the second type. The package includes a spare as well and the rubber is rendered under load. The choice between treads is not a cosmetic trifle but a way to bring the model closer to a particular vehicle in a period photograph, because tires were supplied by several makers during the war.
A whole family of machines was built on the Sd.Kfz. 234 chassis. The best known is the version with a rotating turret and a 50 mm gun, nicknamed Puma, which could take on light tanks if it had to. Beside it were built a vehicle with a 20 mm cannon in an open turret, a support variant with a short-barreled gun and the late machine with a long 75 mm anti-tank gun, which looked almost improperly massive on so light a hull. A speed of over eighty kilometers per hour made these vehicles excellent eyes for the armored divisions.
Keep to the order of the wheels given in the instructions, as sets with several treads tend to be close in shape and a mix-up only shows once they are glued on. Degrease the surface before painting, so that the paint does not flake off the smooth round face. You will bring the sidewalls of the tires out if you run a dry lighter pigment over them once they are dry.
Painting materials and your own armored car are not contained in the package.
